Illinois ISBE Certification (PEL)
Core Requirements
- Degree: A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is mandatory.
- Program: Completion of a state-approved teacher preparation program.
- Exam: Passing scores on the Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) Content Area Test.
- Clinical: Verification of student teaching or 15 weeks of clinical experience.
