K-12 Programs

Curriculum details, accreditation, and student placement.

We offer a comprehensive dual-curriculum approach:

  • Arabic Language: Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) focusing on reading, writing, and conversation (Novice to Advanced).
  • Islamic Studies: Qur’anic recitation (Tajwīd), Hifz (Memorization), Seerah (History), and Fiqh (Jurisprudence).
  • Core Academics: Available for full-time students, aligning with Common Core standards.

Yes. Our Arabic curriculum aligns with ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) proficiency guidelines. Our general studies align with Common Core and state standards to ensure students are prepared for U.S. higher education.

Yes. Our Summer School runs for 4-6 weeks (June-July) offering:

  • Intensive Arabic: Accelerated language acquisition.
  • Qur’an Camp: Focused memorization and Tajwīd correction.
  • STEM Enrichment: Hands-on robotics and coding workshops.

TLVA provides official transcripts and syllabi upon course completion. While many districts accept these for World Language or Elective credits, the final decision rests with the student's home district. We recommend consulting your school counselor prior to enrollment.

Teacher Certification

Licensure pathways, eligibility, and state requirements.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (in any field) from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrate Arabic proficiency (Intermediate-High/Advanced-Low).
  • Pass a background check.

Yes, but your degree must be evaluated by a NACES-approved agency (e.g., WES, ECE) to determine its U.S. equivalency. Most states require a "Course-by-Course" evaluation.
